Mama, You Still Matter Review

Let's face it, being a mom is hard. A lot of the time we are so wrapped up in parenting we tend to neglect our own needs to maintain our well-being. Mama, You Still Matter by Laura Heflin gives you your life back. This book covers the main things we moms tend to neglect the most: the physical, mental, and spiritual parts of ourselves.

This book is good at helping you navigate a balance between your duties as a mom and your needs as a human. It tackles the issue of our general tendency to constantly compare ourselves to other moms that seemingly have it easier or better than us. This book allows you to see the whole picture and allows you to see the areas in your life that might need more attention. A lot of the topics covered are ones that I have experienced in being a pandemic mom where certain aspects like exercise tend to get put on the back burner, time management, and not neglecting your spiritual self. This book would be a great gift for new moms, first-time moms, and expecting mothers. There are a lot of helpful tips and tricks and also addresses common feelings and attitudes that come to you universally when becoming a mom. I recommend reading this book as you are planning out your schedule to remember to reserve time for yourself solely for your well-being. We are moms and we deserve it!
