Scandinavian Myths and Legends Book Review

Enter into a world of giants, trolls, werewolves and more in Scandinavian Myths and Legends: The Hidden Folk Book 1 by G.K. Lund, a book about the creatures called "hidden folk" in Scandinavian traditional stories. This book is the first in a series and is jam packed with information sprinkled in with each tale of folklore. It is a treasure trove of knowledge and entertainment for all ages. The black and white pictures that accompany each creature that are beautiful and magical bringing each story to life. My favorite thing about the book is that it tells the traditional stories and then explains information about the story by breaking it down into what the creatures were and where they came from and why certain stories were common and repeated. I really enjoyed the history behind each one. This book will be just as interesting to adults as well as children and would be an excellent book for a school book report. I recommend reading this book as storytime before bed with milk and cookies! I receives an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
